Our Core Purpose: Strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry.
THE VALUE OF A NAWIC MEMBERSHIP
For more the 55 years, NAWIC has been investing in women in the construction industry and assisting those women in navigating their careers and opportunities in construction. From networking and education, to finding a mentor, philanthropy and volunteering, or even just to make new lifelong friends and lasting connections, NAWIC is here to offer a variety of new roads and opportunity.
In the Greater New York Chapter, we are aligned with NAWIC's core mission to expand the diversity, inclusion, and intersectional nature of the construction industry, by supporting women in the office and on site. Our chapter aims to help build a bridge between construction professionals and tradeswomen throughout our beautiful city.
The Greater New York Chapter of NAWIC is comprised of a diverse group of women with a wide range of backgrounds and specialties -- from construction lawyers, engineers, CMs, Salespersons, equipment suppliers, GCs and other contractors, to the boots on the ground site safety specialists, city inspectors, and a variety of tradespersons, providing a wide range of experience that can benefit our membership at large.
We hold many events: Formal meetings several times a year are punctuated with continuing education seminars, hard hat tours, and happy hours. We invite any woman in construction to join or events and provide discounts to our members.
We look forward to expanding the NAWIC Greater New York Chapter in the coming years and fighting for inclusion of women in construction throughout our city.
