From Certified to Contracted: How to Do Business with the DOT, is a focused, in-person session designed to connect certified small businesses with real contracting opportunities and the tools to compete for them.
Join us for an engaging conversation with Carlos Bannister, Assistant Commissioner and Chief Contracting Diversity Officer at the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT).
In his role, Carlos oversees the Vendor Relations Unit, leading key initiatives in Contract & Labor Law Compliance, Vendor Responsibility, and the Disadvantaged/Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (D/M/WBE) Program.
Mr. Bannister has developed and implemented innovative strategies and policies to enhance contracting opportunities for D/MWBEs. His initiatives have successfully increased the agency MWBE utilization from 11% to 32%, securing over $950 million in contract opportunities for these enterprises.
